Reflect to Forgive

A seven day forgiveness journey to release, heal, and make whole the relationships in your life

Based on Angeles Arrien’s The Second Half of Life

Overview of the forgiveness journey

Day 1: (1) Set intention for the changes you hope to see within yourself by the end of the journey. (2) Work with the reflection questions and suggested practices provided.

Day 2: (1) Recount the stories of the most significant relationships of your life: family, friends, romantic. (2) Reflect on them with the guided questions, and continue with suggested practices.

Day 3: (1) Identify the people in your circle of forgiveness, and continue with suggested practices.. (2) Use the provided text, quotes, and film to develop a fuller appreciation for the meaning of forgiveness. Guided questions are provided.

Days 4~6: (1) Journal about your changing understanding and insights on forgiveness with guided questions. (2) Continue the suggested practices. (3) Interact with one person a day from your circle of forgiveness and allow forgiveness to be at the center of your interaction.

 

Day 7: Take stock of how you’ve changed, and the gifts you’ve received and given freely through the practices of forgiveness. Set a closing intention for how you will carry these practices forward for the next three months.

 

Why go through the journey?

Because you want to let go of things, people, and situations that’s been keeping you prisoner, and you are ready to let the reality of forgiveness work its miracles with your feelings of ruefulness, regret, deep sorrow, anger, rage.

 

 

Ready for a decisive shift?

This journey is first and foremost informed and guided by the wisdom of Angeles Arrien, as well as others, such as Louise Hay and Helen Schucman. They share a profound and yet accessible understanding of forgiveness, as well as the steps that would lead to the healing and wholeness which forgiveness gifts.

How will it work? When? Where?

WHERE: We will meet online once at the beginning of the journey to set and share our intentions. We will meet once again (online) at the end of the journey and share (optional) as well as listen to the discoveries, changes, and healing that has taken place for each person. You will work from the comfort and sanctuary that is your home with guided questions, practices, and actions which align with your intentions throughout the journey.
